Abstract
PURPOSE:To draw off a material to be treated which is simply controlled at a desired temp., by, in heating or cooling the material to be treated in a multi-zone continuous furnace composed of plural operation zones, making possible the control of temp. of only final two or three zones positioned near the outlet. CONSTITUTION:The material to be treated is cooled to a prescribed and desired temp. in a multi-zone cooling furnace, and is taken out from the furnace. The material is charged to one end of a cooling furnace composed of a number of cooling zones 1-13 arranged in longitudinal direction, and is cooled by fans F1-F13 equipped at the respective zones. In that case, cooling is conducted in zones 1-10 at a prescribed rate without control of cooling temp. In zones 11-13 equipped with feed back control mechanisms C11-C13, zone temps. measured by temp. detecting means 21 are compared with the set temps. fed from a setting means 22 by a controlling means 23, and is amplified by an amplifying means 24, thereby controlling the number of revolution of a motor M so that the difference between both temps. are eliminated, hence the temp. is controlled at a desired temp. In heating, partial control of heating based on the same principle makes it possible to heat at desired temp. by simple procedure.
