Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely turn on a lamp, by connecting the series circuitry unit with a heater and thermally operating switch in parallel to a luminous tube. CONSTITUTION:A high pressure sodium-vapor lamp is connected to a single choked stabilizer 12 for use of a high pressure mercury-vapor lamp and started lighting. A heater 7 is constituted by a ceramic foundation where resistance films are formed in its surface or interior. This causes the heater 7 not to generate any abnormality even for a long period of time lighting and the lamp to fully display its starting function throughout a long period by the combination with a thermally operating switch 6, thus capable of surely turning on the lamp.
