CONSTITUTION:When the data signal including data pulse is fed to the terminal 2 and the timing signal in synchronizing with the data pulse is produced from the timing signal generator 7, the switch circuit 8 turns on every incoming data pulse and feeds the data pulse to the level detecting circuits 9 and 10, where the positive and negative peak voltage of the data pulse is detected, and the both detected outputs are added via the resistances 11a, 11b, and are fed to the reference input terminal 3 of the level comparator 1. The comparison voltage of the comparator 1 is varied with the output added and when the value of the resistances 11a, 11b is taken equal, the comparison voltage, that is, the punching level is automatically reached to an optimum value.
