Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten an exhaust process and concentrate gas containing oxygen in high purity and high yield by a mechanism wherein adsorption columns according to a PSA method are arranged in parallel, the column under a pressure reduction- exhaust process is pressure-equalized with oxygen enriching gas in the column after an adsorption process, and the gas is shifted to the next process.
CONSTITUTION: In a PSA method components thereof except oxygen are adsorbed from gas containing oxygen and concentrated, adsorption columns A-1, A-2 are disposed in parallel, and an adsorption process and a pressure reduction-exhaust process are alternately performed. When valves V-1, V-2 are opened and oxygen enriching gas remaining in the column A-1 is introduced into the column A-2 after the processes are completed, the pressure of the column A-1 is released, and the column A-2 is pressurized. And the column A-1 is used as the pressure reduction- exhaust process and the column A-2 as the adsorption process. Thus, since the oxygen enriching gas is employed for regenerating an adsorbent, the exhaust process is shortened, and gas highly enriched with oxygen is obtained in high yield.
