Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the fault quality of the galvanized steel plate through preventing unplated area by a method wherein a vibrator is mounted to a snoot dipped into Zn bath of molten Zn plating tank next to an anealing furnace so as to prevent Zn hume generated in the snoot from depositing on the wall surface. CONSTITUTION:Stock plate 3 to be plated with Zn is annealed in an annealing furnace 9 under H2 atmosphere, is passed through a snoot 4 so as to be isolated from the outside air, and is dipped into the molten Zn bath 1. The plate 3 is passed by the sink roller 6, supported by supporting roller 7, and is lifted from the Zn bath 8. The plate 3 is adjusted to a specified thickness by a gas wiper 2 and sent to the next process. At this time, the snoot 4 is vibrated by a vibrator 5 at 10-100Hz frequency. As a result, Zn hume suspended in the snoot 4 cannot deposit on the inner wall of the snoot and enters the furnace 9, then is carried by atmosphere gas in the furnace and discharged from stack of the furnace 9. The vibrator 5 operates, for example, for one minutes at 5 minute intervals.
