Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain index signals free of cross modulation by making scanning by modulation of electron beam with a high-frequency signal having a fixed frequency.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of a fluorescent screen 2 provided with the repeatedly coated tricolor (red, green, and blue) fluorescent stripes 21, 22 and 23 between which the nonluminous substance 24 of graphite, etc., is interposed, the aluminum metal back 25 is evenly deposited and the metal back 25 is further coated in striped form with index fluorescent stripes 3 over the whole scanning face.
