Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the measurement precision of a crucible for metal solidifying point measurement by inserting an auxiliary sensor into the side wall of the crucible. CONSTITUTION:Insertion pipe 10 for correcting sensor insertion is provided penetrating convection preventive plate 8 and stopper 3a from the upper of quartz pipe 7 while its tip is stuck into hole part 3f in the side wall of crucible 3. Of quartz pipe 7 in which crucible 3 of this constitution is sealed, insertion pipe 6 has a calibrated sensor inserted, and insertion pipe 10 a supervisory auxiliary sensor; and the pipe 7 is heated in a furnace. As a result, constant-point metal 4 in crucible 3 is molten and solidified at T0 as shown by the curved line in the figure. At this time, while the measurement is taken by the calibrated sensor, the auxiliary sensor exercises the supervision all the time, so that the reproducibility and reliability of calibrated measurement data on the calibrated sensor can be improved.
