Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a smooth reciprocating movement with supply of a low pressure, by connecting a valve rod and a piston to each other, fitting a control valve on the outside of the valve rod, forming control fluid passages in the control valve, and providing seal members serving as valve seats for the valve rod in a bore formed in the control valve.
CONSTITUTION: Compressed air is introduced from supply port 2 into upper control fluid chamber 23 and urges control valve 5 downward until it comes into tight contact with valve seat 25. Resultantly, chamber 23 and driving fluid chamber 21 are communicated with each other via conduits 22, 26. Therefore, compressed air is introduced into chamber 21 and lowers piston 11 connected with plunger 14, so that seal member 6 is closed by groove 4' of valve rod 4 whereas seal member 7 is opened. Thereupon, chamber 23 and lower control fluid chamber 5' are communicated with each other via conduits 8, 10, so that control valve 5 comes into thight contact with valve seat 24. As the result, communication between chambers 23 and 21 is interrupted but communication between outlet chamber 27 and chamber 21 is established via conduits 22, 26, so that compressed air is discharged from outlet port 3 and piston 11 is raised by the force of return spring 13.
