This key pulse is applied to gate circuit 11, and only the video signal corresponding to hair 2 is extracted and is applied to synthesizing circuit 13. Ths output of camera 6 which photographs the face of checked person 5 is applied to synthesizer 13 through gate 12 where the antiphase key pulse is applied. Thus, since erroneous key pulses are not generated even if intensive light reflection is generated on hair 2, a good synthesized picture can be obtained.
