Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce molded articles blended uniformly with additives continuously for a long period of time by a method wherein a pressure extraction port is provided between a measuring apparatus and a drier, and thermoplastic polymer chips and additives are amalgamated in the piping bofore drying.
CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic polymer chips are supplied through a hopper 6 for the chips and measured by a chip measuring apparatus 7. On the other hand, additives are supplied through a hopper 1 for the additives, and measured by an additive measuring apparatus 2. The additives from the measuring apparatus 2 are supplied through a pressure extracting port 3, a rotary feeder 4, and an additive supply pipe 5 to a drier 10. On the other hand, thermoplastic polymer chips from the measuring apparatus 7 is supplied through a supply pipe 8 to the drier 10. After amalgamating the chips with the additives at an amalgamagating point 9, they are required to be supplied to the drier. The amalgamating point 9 may be in the vicinity of the inlet of the drier 10, but it is preferable to be spaced apart by 0.3m or more.
