Abstract

PURPOSE: To supply the adjusting voltage of the 3n steps to the transmission line, by connecting the output ends of n units of the bridge circuits which are connected to a secondary winding of the adjusting transformer with a primary winding connected between the transmission lines to the transmission line connected in series and then giving the selective make to the SCR of the bridge circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Adjusting transformer 7 is connected between the transmission lines provided between power source side teminals 1A, 1B and load side terminals 2A, 2B. And then n units of the secondary windings 7B1W7B2 of the voltage ratios 1:3W3n-1 are provided to transformer 7, and each of n units of bridge circuits BR21WBR22 to which four units of SCR switches consisting of a pair of SCRs connected in reverse parallel to each other is connected to windings 7B1W7B2. The output ends of circuits BR21WBR22 are connected in series, and then connected directly to transmission line or via a primary winding 4B of serial transformer 4 to secure the selective make of the SCR switches of circuits BR21WBR22. Thus the adjusting voltage of the 3n steps is supplied to the transmission line.
