Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate a shift of the alignment of a resonator, which is caused by a vibration, and to obtain a stable pulse light output by reducing an output change by using a pair of right-angled prisms as optical elements that makes up a ring resonator. CONSTITUTION:The optical parts are composed of the first right-angled prism 7 and the second one 8, and the edges that form the right angle of the second prism 8 are perpendicular to the edges that form the right angle of the first prims. Also the modulator 4 that has a partial reflecting face 9 is attached to one face of the first prim 7 so that the face 9 may be faced to the second prism 8, and the laser medium 1 is provided between both the prism 7, 8. In this way, the laser beam 5 in the resonator travels the course from A-M shown in Figure, and the output pulse light 6 is emitted from the reflecting face 9. In this case, the modulator 4 is located 1/4 of the resonator length L from the center of the laser medium 1.
