Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect a misprint, by counting the number of print data for each character kind when receiving a transfer, counting each character kind when printing, too, and comparing both the count values as to the same character kind after the print has been finished, in a printer by which several digits are printed.

CONSTITUTION: When a print data is transferred to a printer from CPU1, it not only is stored in due order in a PLB memory 2 but also selects a digit number memory 3, reads out the number of the same print data which have been stored in the memory 2, is added by an adder 7, and the added number is stored in the memory 3 by an output pulse from an print data discrimination unit 5. When a print operation is started after the transfer, print is carried out by a coincidence of a data from the memory 2 and an output from a printing type code generator 10, also it is input to the digit number memory 3, the number of the related print data is read out, "1" is subtracted, and the result is stored again in the memory 3. After print has been finished, the memory 3 is scanned by a counter 4, the address is all read out, and when a numeral other than zero is output, an abnormal signal is output.
