Abstract
PURPOSE: To run secure start pursuing drive by performing automatic electric conduction to a glow plug until the engine rotating velocity arrives at a settled value even after a key switch has been returned from its starter position to "ON" position subsequently to the perfect explosion in the engine.
CONSTITUTION: In the cold starting of an engine, when a key switch 1 is set to "ON" position 1B, electric current streams through a control circuit 6 and a timer circuit 12. This facilitates to move a fuel control lever in the direction of increment, and to preheat a glow plug 11. After termination of preheating, when the key switch 1 is set to the starter position 1C, the engine sets out for cranking. When the engine is made perfect explosion, even if the key switch 1 is returned to the "ON" position 1B, because a thyristor 15 has self-retaining function, the "ON" condition is held, heating of the glow plug runs on, and fuel increment is in succession. As warming up is in progress and when the rotating velocity arrives at a settled value, heating of the glow plug 11 comes to the end.
