Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a rotor balanced easily in heat by a construction wherein a wedge is divided more than one axially, and at least one of the clearances between each wedge element is formed larger than others to fix adjacent wedge elements. CONSTITUTION:A wedge for fixing a rotor winding 4 in a slot is divided into several pieces of wedge elements 9a-9e axially. Then, at least one of the clearances formed between each wedge element is formed larger than others to a draft adjusting gap 17, and wedge elements 9a and 9b adjacent to the draft adjusting gap 17 are fixed with caulking members 12a and 12b provided on a tace 3. An unbalance arising thermally on the rotor can now be removed easily thereby.
