Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to detect a battery voltage with simple constitution without using an adjustment resistance by the use of two series circuits including P-N junction element and a comparing circuit which receives respective circuit outputs.
CONSTITUTION: Battery voltage detecting circuit 6 has voltage comparing circuit 8 connected to both terminals VDD and VSS of battery 7. Between both terminals VDD and VSS, forward diode D1 and resistance R4 form series circuit 9, and forward diode D2 and resistance R5 form series circuit 10; and middle points 9a and 10a of series circuits 9 and 10 are led to voltage comparing circuit 8. Once the battery voltage gets abnormal, the output of voltage comparing circuit 8 is held at level "0".
