Abstract
PURPOSE:To relieve heat fog of a heat developable photosensitive material and prevent a deterioration of the material in photographic performance with the passage of time and environmental pollution by using 1, 2, 3, 4-thiatriazole having a substituent at the 5-position as an anti-heat-foggant for the material. CONSTITUTION:A compound selected from 1, 2, 3, 4-thiatriazoles represented by formula I (where each of R<1> and R<2> is H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or a group formed by substituting 1, 2, 3, 4-thiatriazol-5-yl for one H of alkyl, alkenyl or aryl and R<1> and R<2> may bond to each other to form a nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic ring) and 1, 2, 3, 4-thiatriazole dimers is used as an anti-heat-foggant for a heat developable photosensitive material. The 5-position substituents of the thiatriazoles are alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic, mercapto, alkylthio, alkenylthio, acylthio, thiocyanate, 5-(1, 2, 3, 4- thiatriazole)thio, alkoxy or (substituted) amino. Since no Hg compound is used, trouble about environmental pollution does not occur.
