Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the use of an already-constructed LNG base as an LPG base, by causing a booster compressor to fill up a deficiency of compression of evaporated gas. CONSTITUTION:Evaporated gas is divided by lines so that some of the gas is supplied to a boil-off gas compressor 4 and the remaining part of the gas is supplied to a booster compressor 5. The supplied gas is compressed by these compressors. The compressed gas portions are supplied together to a user. The quantity of the gas which can be processed by the boil-off gas compressor is about 12% of the evaporated gas. For this reason, appliances and machines already installed for an LNG base meet LPG standards. Therefore, the LNG base can be used as an LPG base.
