Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to form conductor junction wherein electric resistance is small and heat generated at conduction is small by consituting the junction so that a surface pressure is generated at the contact portion by tensile force or compressive force acting on conductors. CONSTITUTION:L-shaped contact portions 1a and 2a are formed at the ends of conductors 1 and 2, respectively, and a space S is formed at the center of said contact portions, The conductors are connected so that said portions are coupled each other. A wedge 5 comprising two key-shaped divided pieces 5a and 5b is inserted in the space S formed by the contact portions 1a and 2b. When a current is conducted through the conductors and tensile force 6 is acted thereon, a surface pressure is generated at contact surfaces 8 and 9 between the divided pieces 5a and 5b and contacting portions 1a and 2a of the conductors 1 and 2. A surface pressure is also generated at contact surfaces 10 and 11 when compressive force 7 is acted. Said surface pressures become larger if the tensile force or compressive force become larger. In this constitution, the stable contact surface pressure is obtained, and also the conductors can be contacted so that electric resistance is small and heat generated at conduction is small.
