Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus capable of purifying the air contaminated with CO, H2S and SO2 at high efficiency and for a long period of time, by installing a filter consisting of adsorbent of iron hydroxide compound and metallized adsorbent of Cu-Mn compound on the front stream side of air purifying system, and platinum compound catalyzer on the rear stream side.
CONSTITUTION: After removing 4 dust of air 2 contaminated with CO, H2S and SO2, H2S is removed by passing through a filter 6 containing iron hydroxide adsorbent. The air after removal of H2S is passed through a filter 7 containing metal oxide adsorbent of Cu-Mn compound to remove SO2 and NO2. Then, the air after removal of SO2 and NO2 is passed through a heat exchanger 8 and heated to about 120°C in a heater 9, and is passed through a platinum compound catalyzer layer 11 to oxidize CO and remove. Thus, after removing H2S, SO2, NO2 and CO in the series of purifying duct 1, the air is passed into the heat exchanger 8 and lowered in temperature by scores of degrees, and is further passed into a cooler 12 to be cooled to an ordinary temperature, and is then finally supplied into a room.
