Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of corrugations pressed on square panels, by combining the square panels with one another and welding them liquid-tightly to one another to shorten each welded line as much as possible. CONSTITUTION:Corrugations 5 are pressed on the entire surfaces of the side plates 3' and bottom plates 3'' of an inner vessel 3 of membrane so that the corrugations extend vertically and horizontally on flat plate portions 6. The inner vessel 3 of membrane is secured on an outer vessel 2 by anchros 8 on the blocking parts of the corrugations 5. As a result, the thermal expansion and contraction of the inner vessel 3 is absorbed by the swing of the flat plate portions 6 through the expansion and contraction of the corrugations 5. No fixation points or anchors are provided inside the flat plate portions 6 and act as the centers of the swing of the flat plate portion. For this reason, so welding is needed on the fitted parts of not only the side plates 3' but also the bottom plates 3'' along the corrugations 5, 5', especially along their blocking parts R, namely, no stress-concentrated parts are provided.
