Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the material to be processed applying hydraulic pressure effect of electric discharge time on the whole surface of the material to be processed nearly uniform, by enlarging the distance between the material to be processed in electric discharge vessel in liquid and hydraulic pressure reflex plate provided facing against the above material toward the side of electric discharge gap.
CONSTITUTION: The hydraulic pressure reflex body 11 having the reflex 11a facing against the electric discharge forming die 7, is fixed at the central part in the electric discharge vessel. And, facing distance between the face 11a and forming face, that is, the material to be processed 9, is inclined so as to be larger toward the electric discharge gap 2c. By the above construction, impact pressure generated by the discharge in the liquid (water) 10 and propagated in the water, is able to turn toward the material 9 by the face 11a of the body 11. Also, a uniform forming pressure is able to apply on the whole face of the material 9 and accordingly, uniform plural wave form is able to form by making inclination angle α of the face 11a suitably.
