Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency that is a ratio of a driving force to a coil current and to obtain a fixed driving force regardless of the shift position of the magnet by providing the first and second magnetic elements opposite to the moving object. CONSTITUTION:The roller 6, 7 are put on the guide rails 5a, 5b, the arm holder 2 is moved by the moving body 4. The magnet 8 that makes a field pole as a movable element of the linear motor is attached to the lower end of the moving body 4, the coil 9 as a stator is supported by the base 10. The coil 9 is parallel to the axes of the guide rails 5a, 5b and is wound around the magnetic yoke 11 that extends over the shift range of the moving body 4. When current is fed to the coil 9, the magnet 8 is horizontally moved, the tone arm 1 performs a tracking in a horizontal plane. The first magnetic element 12 is made opposite to the magnet 8 to increase the magnetic flux density, and the second magnetic elements 13, 14 are placed at both ends of the yoke 11 and the first magnetic element 12 to make the driving force uniform regardless of the shift position of the magnet 8.
