Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the write/read operation of a memory by detecting a character read line mark by one line sensor, by synchronizing a form feed with the scanning signal of the line sensor and by taking a scan on the surface of a form at even intervals.
CONSTITUTION: Form feed control part 3 is actuated by a form feed signal from character read control part 1 exercising character read control and when the speed of the form feed reaches a fixed speed, clock generator 2 is actuated. Line sensor amplifier 4 scans on the surface of the form by the output of this generator 2 and outputs a video signal of character patterns. This signal is digitized by digital converter 5 and the digital signal is applied to line mark detecting circuit 6, which detects line marks on the basis of the outputs of generator 2 and control part 1. By a write signal from generator 2 and an address signal from control part 1, the signal from converter 5 is written in a video memory and its control part 7 and on the completion of the write, a read mode is set under the control of control part 1.
