Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrict the production of clinker properly in the floating layer and keep the incineration capacity at satisfactory state by a method wherein the furnace is operated in the mode of upper and lower floating floors for burnt materials with low calorific value, while operated in the mode of swirled floating floor for burnt materials with high calorific value. CONSTITUTION:In a furnace of floating floor type in which materials are burnt under flaoted motion of floating medium 3 such as silicic sands, there are provided a floating blower 1 with sufficient flow rate of wind to make the floating medium floated and a burning fan 6 for supplying additional combustion air in the case that rubber of others with high calorific value is burnt. By so doing, the furnace is operated in such a manner that the floating medium is formed into upper and lower floating floors with the aid of the flaoting blower 1 for burning of materials with low calorific value, while forms a swirled floating floor for burning of materials with high calorific value with the combined action of the blower 1 and the fan 6. A furnace floor dispersion plate 7 is provided within the furnace 2 to be downeardly inclined towards a rear wall.
