PURPOSE:To prevent the vibration of a motor and to reduce the power consumption by making the current to be supplied to the exciter winding of a pulse motor at accelerating or decelerating driving larger than the current at constant speed driving. CONSTITUTION:The outputs from a current setting circuit 32 comprising resistors R1-R8 and current-value specifying signals IS are given to an analog switch 31. The output therefrom and signals A and B from a motor-control circuit are given to an analog switch 34. Then, its outputs are supplied to exciter winding 21a-21d through comparators 36, and transistors Q1-Q4. Therefore, at the time of acceleration or deceleration, only ABS is on, and the voltage E4 which is determined by the resistors R7 and R8 is applied. At the time of a constant speed, only PRS is on, and the voltage E2 which is selected so that E4<E2 is applied.
