Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the bonding strength of fluorescent substance as well as remove any excessive residue by the procedure in which a fluorescent powder is adhered to the adhesive portion of a photosensitive resin film and then treated with a solution containing an alkaline substance and an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The inner surface of the face panel 1 is coated with a photosensitive resin composition composed mainly of a diazonium salt to form the film 2, and then a position where a green fluorescent substance is to be formed by using a shadow mask is exposed to light. Then, the exposed position is converted into an adhesive substance and then sprayed with a green fluorescent powder to form the coated layer 3G. In the same way, the coated layers 3B and 3R are formed. Then, a solution containing an alkaline substance and an organic solvent is flowed onto the inner surface of the faceplate 1 to strengthen the bonding force of the coated layers 3G, 3B, and 3R and at the same time to remove any excessive residue.
