Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the automatic operation for the iris mechanism or the filter mechanism and carry out the effective light shielding of the incident rays to the photoelectric screen of the pickup tube even in case the power source of the TV camera may be opened with the above mentioned mechanisms kept open or being set to the transparrent filter and without operating those mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:Charge/discharge circuits 31, 32 and 34 incorporate capacitor 32 which is charged and discharged when power switch 22 of TV camera 23 possessing the iris and/or filter mechanism is turned on and off respectively. The power is supplied through the terminal of the input side to relay contact circuit 24 when switch 22 is off. The switching circuit gives the conduction to circuit 24 by the signal which is generated only while the charge/discharge circuit is discharged for the fixed time and when switch 22 is turned off. The driving circuit gives the automatic driving to either one or both of the iris and filter mechanisms under conduction of circuit 24. As a result, the incident rays onto the screen of the pickup tube can be cut off.
