Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a phase modulation system which requires no passive filter and frequency converter and has a simple circuit constitution, by using inputted series binary data information as phase angle information to be modulated as it is. CONSTITUTION:Series binary data signals subblied to input terminal 1 are converted to parallel data by series-parallel converter circuit 4; and in case of four- phase modulation, an addition number equivalent to signals obtained by substituting data signals for three parallel bits is outputted. This addition number is inputted to adder circuit 15 and is added to three bits of the current addition output, and the addition result is inputted to addresses A6 to A8 of ROM 16. Upper three bits A6 to A8 of ROM 16 give eight information of the phase of the output waveform, and lower 6 bits A0 to A5 give sine wave information. Phase-modulated digital signals outputted from ROM 16 become agalogue signals by DA converter 17 and are outputted.
