Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent magnets from deteriorating, by providng cooling fins on a first seal member placed on a magnetic coupling member and by causing a cooling wind to flow on the fins to cool the magnets. CONSTITUTION:When an outer magnet means 12 is driven by a prime mover, an inner magnet 16 is rotated because of the magnetic coupling of the inner magnet with outer magnets and drives a load coupled to an output shaft. In an outer magnet cylinder 28, the eight pieces of the outer magnets 40A, 40B are implanted at equal intervals in the axial direction in the right and left end portions of the magnet cylinder except in its central portion 27. The central portion 27 is located between the outer magnets 40A, 40B when a magnetic coupling unit is assembled. Eight fin groups 29E1, 29E2 are placed in a straight line with a right and a left finned bushings 29G1, 29G2 at the left end and central portion of the peripheral surface of a first seal member 35A. The fin groups are made of several fins parallel with the axial direction and have the same cross-sectional width and are located at equal intervals.
