Abstract
PURPOSE: To form spherical gel without performing after-treatment operation by a method wherein organic high molecular gel forming substance is dissolved in mixed sol containing titanium (IV) salt and zirconium (IV) salt at fixed mol ratios and the mixture is dropped into a heating medium.
CONSTITUTION: A water solution is prepared which is obtained by containing titanium tetrachloride, etc. and zirconium (IV) salt such as zirconium oxychloride, etc. at approximate 0.5W20mol ratios and by adjusting pH at approximate 2W4. High molecular gel forming substance such as acryl amide, etc. and a bridging agent are dissolved in the mixed sol, the mixture is dropped into a heating medium such as spindle oil, etc. with approximate 60W120°C, and spherical gel with approximate 0.5W20mm diameters is formed. According to this method, spherical particles which can be used for an ion exchanger, an adsorbent, etc. can be obtained without performing operation such as maturation, drying, etc.
