Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the hydroextracting operation of the sludge hydroextractor, and to improve hydroextracting efficiency, by a method wherein sludge is held between a pair of endless-like filter belts and moved among filter plates and diaphragms, and the sludge is dehydrated under high pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A transfer type sludge feeding member 16 is moved up to a stop location B from a stop location A during the time when the first filter belt 1A is halted, and raw sludge is uniformly scattered onto the belt 1A. The sludge is dehydrated by gravity until it is held between the belt 1A and the second filter belt 1B. The sludge held is introduced to the first high pressure pressing portion formed by a filter plate 12 and a diaphragm 13, and pushed to the filter plate 12 side by means of the diaphragm 13 expanded by air with high pressure or water with high pressure and dehydrated. The sludge is sheared by means of an inversion roller 4 and further changed into a condition that it is easy to be dehydrated, effectively dehydrated from the reverse direction by means of the second high pressure pressing portion consisting of a filter plate 14 and a diaphragm 15, and scraped off by means of a scraper 17 and discharged. the belts 1A, 1B are intermittently advanced every fixed distance, and the sludge is dehydrated every each distance.
