Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a thermal ink jet image copying system, by alternately placing block nozzle arrays on the top and bottom of a single base plate and causing reading signal supplying sensors to alternately correspond to the block nozzle arrays. CONSTITUTION:The CCD sensors CS of an original reading section correspond to thermal jet heads TJB1-4 alternately provided on the top and bottom of a single heat sink plate HS. The reading section is scanned in a direction Q. A recording section is directly driven depending on information obtained by the scanning. The thermal heads are made of nozzle blocks TJB of a number of nozzles equal to the number of the sensors CS. The heaters of the blocks TJB constitute 1/16-duty time division wiring parts. As for the first block TJB1, driving is effected through a data terminal PT and a scanning signal input terminal D in a time division manner to energize the heater 1H.
