Abstract
PURPOSE: An air cleaner which is light in weight, compact in size, and capable of lessening sand and dust contents of intake air and also of minimizing the loss of air pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The air cleaner consists of the outside cylinder 1 provided with an end plate on its top portion, the intake duct 2 provided along in the tangential direction on the upper part of the circular outside cylinder, the upper inner cylinder 4 provided at the upper part of the inside of the outside cylinder 1 and also provided with the divergent skirt 5 on its lower end, the lower inner cylinder 6 provided at the lower part of the upper inside cylinder 4, the recovery vene 7 provided at the top of the lower inner cylinder 6, serving to bias swirl flow to the central direction and also to the axial direction, the swirl flow-preventing vene 8 provided between the outside cylinder 1 and the lower inside cylinder 6, and the hopper 9 provided at the lower part of the swirl flow-preventing vene 8.
