Abstract
PURPOSE: To control activated sludge process by detecting the temperature of aeration tank and then by operating a heater according to the detection signal in order to keep the water temperature of the tank properly.
CONSTITUTION: The water temperature in the aeration tank 1 is measured by the temperature detector 7, and a signal of the measured temperature is put in the meter relay 8 in which the upper and lower limits of a temperature range suitable for the growth and activity of microorganisms are set up. In case where the temperature signal is out of a range of 10 to 30°C in general, the commands 100 and 101 are sent to the switch 6 to control the temperature of air passing through the blast pipe 5 and thereby to control the water temperature of the aeration tank 1 within a certain range. Thus, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of the efficiency of waste water purification treatment due to the lowering of temperature in cold area, etc.
