Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit by equipping a time base control unit, etc., to constitute the circuit so that the tracking signal may be used for time base fluctuation compensation. CONSTITUTION:Signal information from tracks TR2 and TR3 are separated from each other by band-pass filter circuits 28 and 27 respectively and are multiplied by the voltage control oscillator output, which is synchronized with the pilot signal approximately, in multiplier circuits 37 and 39 to lead out amplitude change of each pilot signal. Next, amplitude change is compared in differential amplifying circuit 41, and the difference output voltage is applied to tracking unit as a tracking control quantity. The signal of phase detection circuit 29 or 33 which outputs a voltage corresponding to phase change of the pilot signal controls the speed of the stylus through time base control unit 47 in the track advance direction and backward direction. Thus, tracking compensation and time base fluctuation compensation can be performed with a simple circuit.
