Abstract

PURPOSE: To record and reproduce main information and auxiliary information simultaneously without influence upon main information, by applying the spectrum diffusion communication technique to bury auxiliary information signals into main information.

CONSTITUTION: Auxiliary information signals of a music name, a music number, etc., are multiplied by the signal from coder 8 by multiplier 9 and are subjected to spectrum diffusion modulation and are synthesized with main information signals through LPF10 by sum circuit 11 and are recorded on tape 5 through recording head 2. At a reproducing time, the signal from reproducing head 6 is caused to pass through LPF12 and is multiplied by the code signal from coder 13, which generates a signal similar to the signal of coder 8 at a recording time, by multiplier 14 to demodulate auxiliary information signals, and these demodulated signals are given to display equipment 16 through LPF15 to display the music name and the music number. Meanwhile, the signal from reproducing head 6 is given to amplifier 7 to drive a speaker. Then, for the purpose of establishing synchronization between the code signal and the output of coder 13, the output of multiplier 14 is caused to pass through LPF17 to control VCO18, and the phase of the output signal of coder 13 is controlled. Motor control circuit 19 controls motors 3 and 3' on a basis of auxiliary information of demodulated signals.
