Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain greater finding area and to enable linear scanning for the area, by receiving waves while moving the focus of the reflection spherical waves of sound field along the virtual sound line in agreement with the scanning line of the linear scan. CONSTITUTION:The transmission and reception unit D/R is connected to the array transducer TD for driving TD and signal processing at wave reception. The wave transmission drives one element at the center of TD to radiate the wave forming the spherical surface. Further, in receiving wave, the scanning line S the same as the linear scan in the sound field is assumed and the focus is in matching with the position of reflection source sequentially in matching with the return time of the reflection wave from each reflection source on the scanning line. Thus, each scanning line is the appearent sound line where the reflection wave return. Accordingly, the sound field is effectively made for linear scan, and echogram forming linear scan can be obtained by displaying the reception wave signal.
