Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a mixture gas from being too thick in accordance with an atmospheric pressure drop by a method wherein a joining pass is installed in an intake passage through an atmospheric pressure responding valve which is more opened the lower an atmospheric pressure becomes and a negative pressure responding valve which is less opened the higher an intake negative pressure beomes is installed in the joining pass.
CONSTITUTION: A joining pass 6 to which air from atmosphere is joined is installed in an intake passage 4 from a throttle valve 2 to an intake valve 3 of a carburettor in an internal combustion engine 1, through an atmospheric pressure responding valve 5 which is more opened the lower an absolute pressure of an atmosphere becomes. And in the joining pass 6 is installed in series with the said valve 5 a negative pressure responding valve 7 which is less opened the higher a negative pressure in the intake passage 4 becomes. Air is supplied to the valve 5 through a branch pass 9 which branches before the throttle valve 2 after passing through an air cleaner 8. In a low atmospheric pressure, this mechanism increases the volume of air, which is supplied to the intake passage 4 through the joining pass 6, by the valve 5 to prevent a mixture gas from being too thick.
