Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent that water drips are collected and stay on the inside of protective sleeves for thermocouples used for detecting temperature on the inner and outer walls of inner casing of a steam turbine having a double-casing structure, by forming an outlet port at a portion of the protective sleeve located near the surface of casing.
CONSTITUTION: Thermocouple protecting sleeves are inserted into respective pockets 3a, 3b fixed in high-pressure inner casing 1 for holding thermocouples 13a, 13b which are intended to detect temperature on the inner and outer wall of the casing 1. These thermocouples 13a, 13b are provided respectively with inner protective sleeves 4a, 4b for protecting thermocouples 13a, 13b damages caused possibly by impulsive flow of reheated steam when they are extended through reheated steam chamber 11. In such an arrangement, a drain hole 14 is formed at a portion of pockets 3a, 3b near the outer wall surface of casing 1. With such an arrangement, wet steam flowing in spaces formed between thermocouples 13a, 13b, inner protective sleeves 4a, 4b and pockets 3a, 3b can be discharged to the outside of pockets 3a, 3b.
