Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Adenosine-triphosphatase, preferably an enzyme obtained from the frimbriae and flagella of eucaryotic cells, is added to a buffer containing adenosine triphosphate to prepare an enzyme standard solution. The enzyme activity is determined, and a sample containing pentavalent vanadium in an unknown concentration, which has been preferably completely oxidized, is added to determine the change in the activity.
