Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a highly thermal efficient, direct type, solar heat evaporator by arranging in parallel heat receiving plate and reflective cooling plates, both backed with porous water-absorbing sheets.
CONSTITUTION: A heat receiving plate 1 backed with porous water-absorbing sheet 1 and reflective cooling plates 3, 5, 7 all backed with porous water-absorbing sheets 4, 6, 8 are arranged in parallel, then their lower ends are passed through heat- insulating frame 10 to enter the lower tank 14, and their upper ends are inserted into the upper tank 13. At lower section of spaces between each plate and on top of the frame 10, condensed water collecting troughs 17, 18, 19 are installed. At the outside of the heat receiving plate 1, transparent heat insulating covers 11, 12 are provided. This forms an evaporator. In running the evaporator, seawater is charged in the upper tank 13, is impregnated into porous sheets 2, 4, 6, 8 to be flowed through them; the heat receiving plate 1 is exposed to sunbeams through the transparent covers 11, 12, and the rear side of the reflective cooling plate 7 is cooled by air. Then, water condensed on the surfaces of cooling plates3, 5, 7 flows down, which is collected through the troughs 17, 18, 19.
