Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of cooling liquid and to absorb the increase and decrease in the volume with a change in temperature of cooling liquid by installing an atmosphere open type expansion tank at higher position than the other parts in the cooling liquid circulator for electrical appratus cooling. CONSTITUTION:With a pump 8 driven, stator winding 2 is cooled by having cooling liquid circulated in a passage 2a through a cooler for cooling 9. A return pipe 4 is connected to an atmoshere open type expansion tank 13 which is installed at higher position than the other parts of cooling system. In this way, a change in volume caused by a change in temperature of cooling liquid is absorbed and a hydrogen gas etc. mixed in the cooling liquid is exhausted to the atmosphere. And a circulating system for cooling liquid will not directly contact with the atmospheric air. Therefore, the deteriroration of cooling will be minimized.
