Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently convert fine suspended material into high-density blocked coagulated body, by a method wherin suspended liquid and high-moledular coagulant are charged into a tank and rotary blade is rotated to allow the liquid in the tank to repeat uprising and falling whirl motion.
CONSTITUTION: Suspension liquid is supplied from inlet pipe 2 into the tank 1. At the same time, a proper amount of high-molecular coagulant is injected from inlet pipe 3. Drive mechanism 8 rotates rotary blade 10 to revolve and move the liquid upward in the riser section 6 and downward in the down comer section 7. This causes circulating liquid flow in the tank to permit suspended material in the liquid to mutually collide in floating condition and to undergo contact and rolling motion, gradually forming into coagulated blocks. Such coagulated blocks grow to some size, then collapse into smaller coagulated block group, and are efficiently overflowed from outlet 4 outside, together with separated water.
