CONSTITUTION:Control head 10 extracts the control signal out of the magnetic tape and then applies it to phase comparator circuit 12 through amplifier 11. On the other hand, the pulse synchronized with the head drum is supplied to amplifier 14 from input terminal 13, and the output is divided through 1/5 divider 15 and then supplied to circuit 12 to receive the phase comparison with the output of amplifier 11. Then the output of circuit 12 is applied to capstan motor 17 via amplifier 16 for driving. Thus 5 turns of the head drum are given to motor 17 to apply the servo driving in order to give the shift to the magnetic tape by the length of one track width. At the same time, the output of divider 15 is reduced at pulse duration converter circuit 19 and through delay circuit 18, and the azimuth angle at one side of the magnetic head is made identical to the other head via actuator 21.
