Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a wheel train simple and samll by directly fixing a time indicating hand to the shaft of a step motor. CONSTITUTION:A minute hand 5 is fixed directly to the leading end portion of the shaft 4 of a step motor 1 which acts as an electric-mechanical converter. When the minute hand 5 is rotatably fitted in the cylindrical portion of the minute hand gear 6 which in turn is fitted on the motor shaft 4, an hour hand 10 is fixed to the cylindrical portion of an hour hand gear 9. As a result, the shaft 4 is turned one step for each minute by the dirve of the step motor 1 so that the minute hand 5 indicates each minute and so that the hour hand 10 is turned through gears 6, 7 and 9 thereby to indicate the hour. Since the mimute hand 5 is fixed to the shaft 4 and driven, the group of gears by which the rotations are transmitted fom the shaft 4 to the mimute hour 5 can be dispensed with thereby to attain the desired objects.
