Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable rapid and simple measurement to be done by such things as providing of a sample holding base below a thin metal-made small disc, placing the liquid layer of sample between the samll disc and holding base and heating the samll disc with a laser flash.
CONSTITUTION: A ruby laser generator 3 having a laser beam diameter expanding mechanism 2 is disposed above a sample chamber 1 and pulse-form laser light is generated by discharging the electric energy having been accumulated in a high- voltage condenser 4 to a xenon lamp by a remote switch 5. The sample chamber 1 is covered of its surroundings by an electric furnace 6, is constituted by heat- resistant mantle placed on a support base 8 and a top cover and is controlled of temperature by a furnace temperature control unit 13. The laser light enters the mantle through the optical glass window of the top cover and falls onto the metal- made small disc in the mantle and the heat conductivity of the liquid to be examined below this is rapidly measured and is recorded in a recorder 51.
