Abstract

PURPOSE: An oil adsorbent capable of preventing pollution by recovering oil drops in waste liquors or oil flowing into the sea, comprising waste paper sludges.
CONSTITUTION: Sludges formed through paper making from waste one by disintegrating and deinking are dewatered by a dewaterer to give a moisture content of about 60%. The dewatered sludges are dried and granulated to form granules with a moisture content ≤10%, which are preferably separated into coarse and fine ones having a diameter of 2W3mm and 0.5mm or less respectively, and stored.
