Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform effective sewage treatment with a simple method, by providing an earthworm cultivation device on covering earth of the earth type sewage treatment device and by filtering and dehydrating excess mud containing moisture much, which is supplied for earthworm cultivation, by covering earth.
CONSTITUTION: Earthworm cultivation device 3 is installed on covering earth 9 of earth type precipitation tank 1 and earth type contact circulation aeration tank 2. Though excess mud 13 containing moisture much in tank 1 is supplied to earthworm cultivation device 3, this moisture permeates covering earth 9 and is filtered and dehydrated. Thus, covering earth of the earth type sewage treatment device is used as dehydrating and filtering materials and deodorant materials for low-density mud, and the quantity of mud is reduced, and mud is made into compost.
