Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a printing mechanism capable of reducing cost with a lessened part accuracy by a correction mechanism adapted to give a displacement of the pushing rod end to the pushing rod in the direction vertical to the movement of the hammer.
CONSTITUTION: A pushing rod 18 moving toward the type drum 26 passing through a guide tube 17 engages the tip of an mobile arm 15' of the actuator 15 while a hammer 20 in cooperation with the rod 18 engages the other end of the rod 18. The hammer 20 is supported on a base 21 through two plate springs so as to swing in the direction of printing shift. The base 21 is provided with mechanisms 24 and 25 for oscillating the base in the direction of printing shift and mechanisms 29 and 30 so that an oscillatory displacement is given to the rod 18 in synchronization with the oscillation of the base 21. Supported at the center thereof with a bracket 28, the rod 18 is given such a displacement to ensure that the length of the rod 18 is invariably constant with the upward movement thereof.
